Mexican laelia Anceps alba form in bloom. Male
Default Mexican laelia Anceps alba form in bloom.

here is a few laelia Anceps that bloomed for me,

first one is a TRUE Alba form of the species,

second is not really an alba (for me) as it sports color lines that can be seen in the lip, the flower is indeed beautiful, but not truly alba in my eyes.

i have added a pick with both flowers next to each other
if anyone wants to compare

Does L. anceps flower in November in Mexico ?? I have to wait at least two more months.
Flowers often have a problem here to unfold properly, because the bud surface is covered by a gluey substance. Maybe the heated greenhouse air is too dry. Is it cool and misty - at least at night- in Mexico when flowers open ? Is this also so for L. gouldiana?
