Default 1st bloom ever-thanks!

Hi folks,
This site was really helpful when I was just starting--and I finally have my first real bloom on my sole Catt now. I've had sheathes before, but they were either empty or last year the baby buds rotted before they got a chance. I got nervous and snipped the end of one this year, but looks like both will make it now. I know nothing about names/species, etc.--this was tiny from Home Depot in a bag about 10 years ago--so I'm sure it's not that special, but I'm pretty happy and wanted to share and say thanks.

First of all - CONGRATS, I like the color combo very much! This one always reminds me Spanish bolero dance dress! And, to be waiting 10 years for the first bloom, wow, very patient! Great job, and you grew nice healthy looking plant!

10 yrs....wow. You have a lot of patience. And your orchid is gorgeous. I know how it feels when you have an orchid blooming for the first time.

This year I had my first orchid bloom and I kept going out to smell it all day long ,every day.

I thought the same thing!
It's a great feeling when you get your first(or fiftyith) bloom.
