Yeah the rain has been ridiculous. No damage to the orchids that I can tell yet. Good thing it hasn't been cold as well....things might be different. Bulbo's have been loving it. Nice and sunny this morning hope it stays all day!

You have it nice and sunny in Homestead??? You are so so lucky, it is HELL here in North Miami, I mean, they said today BETTER and only 20%, since 8am there is hurricane rain soaking totally all the way through the balcony to the living room when door opens, non stop 4 hours already, and this was suppose to be better day, tomorrow and Monday forecast is RAIN AND WIND, I am close to be done, I moved everything where I could, I did cover some, but it is not helping, since the rain is all the way to inner door anyway:-(

I share your chagrin, Tommy. Last week was the pitts. Rain, rain, go away! Looks like a cool night in store and of course my plants are soaked. Big sigh. Congrats on the new acquisition. It's a beauty and I hope it does well for you.

Picotee, do you think that one night in 58 degrees will be big issue, I mean, it is only one night, and it is going to be warm again tomorrow! Thanks God it is NOT raining today, I hope it will stay, and there is a breeze, so the plants are drying out at least little bit! I hope both mine, yours, and actually everyone's who grows in Florida will be fine! The weather is really really beating our chids bad this fall here for sure!!!

Tommy, I'm so glad we didn't have rain today! Hoping things are fairly dry. I'm leaving everything out with the exception of my C. aclandiae's that always come in when the temps are expected to drop below 60F. Looks like tomorrow will be a beautiful day. Happy Thanksgiving!

Picotee, today was truly outstanding day, first "real fall Florida" day, breezy, not hot, and sunny! Awesome, I truly hope it will stay. I am leaving everything out, it should get down to 53, but only for one night, and than tomorrow normal, I never move plants inside, so all good, I hope:-) Happy Thanksgiving!
