Laelia purpurata var. carnea
Now, the carneas! What a wonderful lip this variety has! In my humble opinion there's no competition (ok, werkhauseri admitted!) with such color. This one is flowering for the first time with flat petals, a nice surprise!

Yes, Mauro! Carneas are often bad in shape, but yours has flat petals, nice! I have a reasonable one (but generic) whose roots have been completely swallowed by slugs! I'm trying to save it (sphag-in-a-bag, B complex, Suprethrieve etc.); a new growth is coming, but no roots yet....any tip?

I guess you are doing the possible, Frederico. I don't know of any other tip. The only thing I would also do would be giving Fosway to stimulate new roots. Fosway is a fertilizer that provides phosphorus and potash only, developed with smaller molecules than the regular foliar fertilizers. This makes it easily absorbed through the foliar stomata, which is a good idea once your plant has no roots. Besides other functions, phosphorus stimulates new roots to appear.
