all my friends who like to spend their money drinkin wine collect the wine nets for me along with the wine corks...they enjoy helping me out more than they should Im sure ...

they work good for mountin plants on cork or bark too with a few staples properly placed.

I think as has in the past proven that these will miss or not bloom out like you know they can bec its exactly that r taking a rest to building up energy..Flower power...my little stars last time was only a few spikes with maybe 15 or 16 flowers. Can count over 50 buds this time around.
They stayed really hot and steamy all summer long. the secret to the rhyncos too seems to be hot sticky and wet...

the 1 mas mejor bud is getting so big its going to be draggin the floor. 1 flower is better than none flowers

LOL... my younger daughter is in a "wine club." Thus, I knew immediately what that netting was.

i love anything that will bloom during the winter! I had a Nodosa once but didn't get it in to bloom. Maybe it's time I tried one again, or at least a hybrid. I love colour.

I am envious! My nodosa has nice roots, is growing two new leaves, but no spikes. I wonder if it ever will bloom for me.

Mine just decided to send out spikes 3 months after blooming already....kind of worried me....glad the sticky stuff is normal. Noticed that yesterday. Nice idea w the netting. But I kind of like them growing wild and in all different directions.

Well . . . actually, this last flower is sorta deformed. Should I put the plant in bondage??

again most reasons why they don't bloom is light...mine have that reddish tint to the bulbs and even the buds have a reddish tint to them. cant be good to burn them but they do need very high light. the give away for a high light plant is straight thin leafed bulbs. they can take more light than a flat wide leafed plant as there is less area to collect heat. Skinny leaves need more light. Fat leaves need less...

get the brassovolas out in the easy morning sun. keep them out of the west afternoon light. its too hot coming from the west.

the mas major opened up 1 today the cordata almost has 1 opened..I can smell them already!

the 3 year old Bc Makai starts to spike I find 4 spikes and 24 sheaths...it hadn't bloomed since I got it.. its been moved 3 times and grown in the most 'orrid conditions an orchid could ever endure and it finally liked something I gave it
...my oldest rkid

it got beat by hail ice and rain..you can still see the damaged leaves. I culdn throw this one out ever

here it is in april 3 2013 before hail storm

happy happy happy

It must be the season, my B. Little Stars is throwing out 2 spikes right now too. First time blooming for me, so I'm pretty excited. Just got a nodosa and a cucullata too, can't wait for them all to be in bloom. Really nice growing!
