Cattleya walkeriana 'mini blue' - I think
That's what the label says but I mislabel all the time. Too many to keep track of
The spike did come from the rhizome instead of the top of the pseudo bulb.
iPhone flash does not do the color justice. I will try to take some more photos under natural light this weekend.
Grown outdoors year round. Can take quite a bid of cold. One night last winter it got down to 45F 7C. I keep it very dry when it is cold. It likes very bright indirect light. Supposed to have a scent but I am never home during the day. May be I will be able to smell it this weekend.
Enjoy!

Antonio is right, its definitely a hybrid. I think it might be a primary though, so finding its heritage might be a bit easier than with other NOIDs. It kind of looks like walkeriana x L. dayana or one of the other hadrolaelias. Without a tag, its only a guess though!

Very nice! I'm pretty sure you orchid is C. Mini Purple which is C. walkeriana crossed with C. pumila. My guess is that it's C. Mini Purple 'Blue Hawaii' although C. Mini Purple 'Tokiko' and a couple other cultivars have that same look.

hey , still gorgeous
here is a link of a recently posted Walkeriana (bluish) Coerulea, so you know how a walkeriana looks like
Cattleya Walkeriana Coerulea "cho jo"
cheers.
PS. tags get easily lost, but you can always find ways to make sure it never get lost, IE by using a wire

Thanks for that! But I am pretty sure where the real tag is. I have another walkeriana seedling, I bet I mixed up the two labels! Lol

Very fine plant. Good remarks about growing needs, which I fully second.
For comparison I attached a photo of my Mini Purple coerulea. This hybrid flowers two times a year, a walkeriana only once.
