Thank you all very much!
Before the disaster, the growths and foliage, while not huge like big Catts, the foliage at least was fairly substantial. The post-disaster growths and foliage are smaller. So, blooms are big for the size of the growth they are on.
That said, I was just looking at pix of the last time it bloomed (pre-disaster) - seems the blooms this time ARE bigger! Nicer shape to them as well (IMO). Perhaps due to getting more sun in summer where it is now? - but morning sun to help prevent any more burn
Color is also better - deeper, richer - tho that is likely attributable to being grown outside - nice cool night temps, and in October when buds were developing, some cooler day temps as well. Altho, previous blooming was in Feb (2012), and my home is fairly cool in winter ... so, maybe temps weren't the difference this time ...
I very much appreciate everyone's complimentary words - I have been embarrassed and saddened by the condition of the plant ... the lovely blooms it has produced, along with all the kind words has me feeling much better about it!
Thank you!
