Little NOID Catt with a big scent
I picked this unidentified Cattleya up from Lowes last spring when it was on one of their clearance tables. It fell in two when I unpotted it, so I planted each piece in its own pot and basically forgot about it over the summer. Now both pieces have become fully established and made new growths. And they're flowering! Still have no idea what the name of this small cattleya hybrid is, or what's in its background, but the blooms are incredibly fragrant, with an intense lemon scent. Not a bad haul for a $5 throw-away plant from Lowes.

Its a beauty! I remember encountering on yellow catt, looks like the you got except yellow, at the AOS gardens. It also smelled of lemons, very strong. Sorry, I didn't get a name.

Beautiful! I have found a few times the two plants in one pot.....more for the money...but I know the grower is probably just trying to make the plant look bigger for the sale. It reminds me of a Lc. Mini Purple!

It's very pretty! The shape of it's flowers reminds me of a Potinara I have.

It looks a lot like "Secret Love," though "Secret Love" is scentless...

Thanks, everyone, for your comments. Maybe this is an Lc. Mini Purple. I don't have firsthand experience with that hybrid. Does anyone know whether it's fragrant, and, if so, what the fragrance smells like?

I don't think it's even close to Lc. Mini Purple - Check out these photos -

and
Lc. Mini Purple Dogashima
The petal shape is different and the column on the mini purple is much longer.
