I never really expected this spike to bloom out but it did! I got it in August as a traveling companion to my Project 4 plant. It had 3 spikes, 2 of which blasted within a couple of weeks of arrival. I had to perform numerous little "surgeries" to release the sheaths on the remaining spike. The spike is approx. 24" tall and bears 2 flowers. These pictures really don't do justice to the color. The flowers are slow to open all the way. I'm not sure if it's because of the cooler temps or something else. From what little information I've found on this plant it has L. anceps on both sides of it's parentage. Thanks for looking.
