Default Laelia sincorana

Laelia sincorana is a small plant native to the State of Bahia, Brazil. Its vegetative aspect is very similar to Laelia pumila, but smaller and thicker than the latter. Just like pumila, the bud develops protected inside the folded leaf until it is fully formed. Compared to the plant size, the flowers of this species are huge, easily reaching 5.2” across while an adult plant grows the same 5.2” in height.

The flower is fantastic, but I really like the plant itself. There's something quite charming about these miniature-growing species--especially the ones that put on such a wonderful display when they flower. Very nice growing, Mauro.

I fell for this plant when I saw the bulbs, it is neat. As jet I have not managed to get it to flower. What can I do? It is mounted on bark of the Corkoak.

This is a plant that do well mounted, Spider, so I guess you are on the right track. It also needs bright light to develop well. In these conditions (mounted and good light) you need to pay special attention to the humidity because there is a certain risk of dehydration. You need to often look at your plant and if it shows the slightest shriveling signal it is a clear indication that humidity is lower than it needs and a correction should be done before the plant gets dehydrated. In my experience, if the pseudo bulbs of this species show signals of dehydration it would be a surprise seeing it in flower.
