Actually the merit is not mine because I do not care very much for this plant. Even geraniums demand more care from me than this Catt. C intermedia is a very easy grower.
Winters are rather mild here. This winter the lowest temperatures were 2C (36F) , so I leave the plant outside all year (you can even see one leave scorched by the sun last summer).
I bought the plant as a small seedling (not more than 7-8 cm (3 in.) high, and 2 leaves, in a show some years ago. A friend of mine bought another. I had to give him a division of this one, because the one he bought was vinicolor but not aquinii (or flamea), That makes me think they probably made a selfing to obtain this batch of plants.
