Lc. Blue Madonna of Poland 'PP'
I bought a few plants from Jesse Rozanski (Rozanski's House of Orchids)the other day. This one was pot luck....it was in spike, but I had no idea what it would look like. It's one of his own crosses....needless to say, I was pleased by the sight of this beauty staring back at me this morning. He said some of it's siblings were navy blue. I also got an Epi. schomburgckii (in spike) and a bloom size Stanhopea wardii 'Venezuela'.

blue madonna of poland
Hi Jasen.
What a small world, I know Jesse Rozanski !! He is absolutely a GREAT person. I also have this orchid the one that looks diferent than yours. I love the plant, I also bought from him Pot. William Farrell "Amigo" among others. Is he the one that gave you the root cocktail recipe ? Do you see him often ? Please say hello from me, Im the military wife that moved to Georgia. The one with the beautiful baby girl. I sometimes talk to him on the phone. I really like him a lot............I lived in Wesley Chapel. Where do you live ? I missed going to St. pete, specially the Cajun Cafe, Mum, mum,mum.. I have been using the root cocktail and it is like magic. Thank you. The hydroguard goes very fast, do you know of any product similar to this one that I can buy in a local store ? thanks a lot.
Best regards.
Lupita.

Lupita,
Yes, the "root cocktail" did come from Jesse, he has been the source for most of my orchid knowledge. I did some side work for him, when I first started going there, and he has been really good to me since. I live in Holiday and work in St. Pete, so fortunately for me (but unfortunately for my pocket!), he is on my way home. I try to stop by at least once a month...buy a couple orchids, and then we usually end up talking for an hour, or so. He has taught me anything I've wanted to know, while knowing I would one day like to have an orchid business. He said he has plenty of money, and doesn't have a problem with anyone else tryin to make a buck! He even helps me with any of my flasking questions. I went by there Friday, he was all excited showing me the "Endangered Species Import/Export" permit that he just got. He also recieved a table full of endangered cuttings from Brazil! He even had the new species, that was found recently....it looks like onion grass! It will be a while til he sells any of those, until they get bigger.
As for the Hydrogaurd, it is the only of those products I know of that is odorless. If you don't mind a little odor, I use "Companion 2-3-2", by Growth Products. I get it from Jesse, but you should be able to get it at Growth Products, Ltd.. You don't have to use quite as much as the Hydrogaurd, so it may last a little longer. Just search for anything with Bacillus subtilis in it. I may see Jesse at the WOC, in Miami, I'll tell him you said hello!

Hello Jasen.
Talking with Jesse for hours sound very familiar, that happens to me too. He is the type of person that as soon as you meet him, you just feel very comfortable talking with him, and time goes very fast. I met him in a home show in St. Pete. He has always been very nice with me too.
I know he is vey happy about his permits and I know his Dad is feeling much better. I absolutely love all of his orchids. He's just a great person.
Do you have many flasks ? have they bloomed ?
I can't wait for spring, we may go to Tampa and stop at his nursery.
I called him the other day and told him about our Lc. Blue Madonna of Poland 'PP' .
I will probably go to Miami. maybe I will see you both.
Thanks again for the information.
Take care.
Lupita.
