Sophronitis cernua
I am disinclined to use the genus name Cattleya for this group of plants. Sophronitis cernua inhabits a wide area in southeast Brazil, where it normally grows on big trees at lower elevations. Also a yellow form exists, which I've never seen with my eyes, only photos.
This plant is mounted on Clematis for 15-20 years. It gets lots of light, but lacks a bit of water. It tolerates warmer temps and dryness better than other Sophronitis. Flowers open from top to bottom.
