Mauro,
What a 'werkhaueseri' is? It's a type? For me it seems like a clonal name, and then only the original plant (and its divisions and/or mericlones) could receive this name (i.e., the L purpurata werkhaueseri 'Superba' from Karl Werkhaueser, the "Jóia da Bruxa" - 'Witch's Jewel').
Everybody is selling any 'ardósia' LP as 'werkhaueseri' today! What do you think about this? I'm asking you 'cause you show us a beautiful LP, but the 'original' werkhaueseri has completely white petals and sepals; for me (and I do not intend to hurt you!) your plant is a wonderful LP 'ardósia estriata' (like 'Minha Gilda', from Geraldo Patto)

Frederico, as far as Laelia purpurata is concerned, the word 'werkhauseri' is a general substitute for 'coerulea'. Just like 'reineckiana' replaces semi-alba in C. mossiae or 'amesiana' (honouring Oaks Ames) replaces a very specific rosy color in C. labiata. So, werkhauseri meaning 'coerulea' does not identify any specific clone, but all those 'blue' L. purpurata, stripped or not. 'Suprema' and 'Superba', yes are the clonal names for the two very first L.p. werkhauseri (coerulea) found.
'Ardósia', 'aço, 'aço quente' and similar names are all inventions trying to particularize a specific shade of blue that, in my opinion, should not be used; as always, these names serve more to commercial purposes than to identify true varieties.

Thanks, Mauro! So, the vendors "are not guilty"! Anyway, after I'd read the Heitor Gloeden's "Jóia da Bruxa", I'm still looking for the 'original' LP werkhaueseri 'Superba'! For me, like C walkeriana 'Feiticeira', it's a fetish!
