As usual, your Cattleyas are beautiful and healthy looking. This one definitely sounds like a keeper!

I didn't mean to imply that it didn't bloom. It's always bloomed since it was a small plant but now it blooms much more often and with more flowers.

Another beauty! How DO you do it? I guess besides knowing the right culture, you have to throw a lot of patience into the mix. Thanks for the great post!

Actually I owe most of my success with cattleyas to mother nature. I live semi-tropical South Florida and grow my plants outdoors so mother nature takes care of the light, heat, humidity and much of the watering.

You are very humble...but I still enjoy seeing your beautiful orchids posted here and I thank you for all the things you have helped me (and others) learn!

I had almost written off the cattleya bunch as being impossible for me to bloom, but then I recently got a good deal on some seedlings, so now I have a Bc Little Mermaid, Blc Glenn Maidment, Laelia anceps, Brassovola Little Stars, Cattleya mossiae, and C. skinneri. I am sure that I am years away from even potential blooms...so I come to OB to have renewed hope.
