I should probably be embarrassed for posting this, but I don't care! It's only one flower, but it is the prettiest flower in the world because I grew it .

A B. Nodosa Little Stars purchased as a bag baby from Lowe's this past March/April. It's in a pot that is way to big and not very well placed inside the pot, as you can see. But I've gotten much better since I re-potted that one lol. Since purchase, it has put out two new growths which are doing very nicely, lots of roots and this little flower stalk that likes to put out one flower at a time! The first one came out on a lower node, stayed very nice and fragrant for about 3 weeks, and as it faded, this surprised me by appearing after the first one died. Who knows, maybe one of these days I will get more than one at a time.

Congrats on your growing!
I hope to see pics of it's future blooms too! I have tried growing this beauty once and although it survived 2 years I never got it to bloom...
Thanks for posting, I love this one!

BEAUTIFUL! Does it smell nice too? I have a Grand Stars and have bloomed it once. Many new growths this year, so I am hopeful.

Yes, it has a very nice, delicate fragrance. To me it smells like gardenia/jasmine and something else I haven't been able to figure out yet. My wife swears it smells like baby powder and some gardenia, but I don't smell baby powder at all. The fragrance is strong about 2 hours after my lights go off, but you can actually start to detect a faint scent about an hour before the lights turn off. So cool how the plant knows the time and gets ready for the dark.

I am getting very hooked on anything with B Nodosa in it, I just love the form and shape of the plant, the tall spears are neat. I will have to keep an eye out for Grand Stars too, it looks wonderful, can't wait to see yours in bloom.

I so totally agree!!! anything that YOU GROW into the blooms is the prettiest and the best, that is the biggest reward for me every single time, no matter if one flower opens only or dozens:-))) Great Job!
