Color too dark again, always seems to flower when the sunlight is at its worst. Generally this time of year.

All of the above and more. Actually the best light to photograph in is low light. But in open shade the dominant color is blue from the skylight. If you have the ability to set your white balance try focusing on a white object or grey and then shoot.
