First bloom for 2 cuties!
These are first bloom seedlings. The first is Pot. Samantha Duncan 'Orange Tart' There is a 2nd bud behind the flower getting ready to open. It's a fairly small plant.
The 2nd one is Lc. Dakao 'Flammea Enami' I bought this as a large seedling from Cody (The Blazing August) last summer when he was selling off his Cattleyas so he could grow more Phals. I bought several EZ Orchid Hydro Mount ceramic logs from a lady in the U.S. and mounted this one on it. It seems quite happy and I like the way it looks on this log. It just opened today so will likely flatten out some more yet.

Great flowers and awesome photography! I'm glad the Dakao was able to find a happier home with you!

That mounting job on the lc Dakao is spectacular!!! It looks like someone just cut it off a tree in the Amazon. Beautifully bloomed cattleyas!

Sweet. I lost my Samantha Duncan a while back. Forgot how really nice it is.

They are both gorgeous, and I second or third the compliments on the mount. Off now to find a way to atone for orchid envy. Hope buying a Pot. Samantha Duncan will qualify.

They're both beautiful! I'm becoming a big fan of mini-catts.. I would definitely purchase either one of those two. That's the first time I've seen a mount on one of those ceramic logs. It seems to be working well. Good growing.
