Could be that simple...I have other orchids flowering and get the same treatment; tho that one is in a sort of loose orchid mix soil and perlight...I have other things flowering in the same mix; and I have other things that aren't flowering but I too attribute that to my culture or waiting to water. Thanks for your thoughts.

Reportedly the Sierra da Ilha has a really wet montane forest and cooler temperatures all year round.

Too much light can affect how an orchid flowers. My E. Ciliare grow and flower in moderate light and struggle in high light positions. Try giving it less light and when my new growth gets about half mature I decrease the nitrogen and increase the P and K. Just a thought.
