BettyE, I have an alba version in a 3" pot with 4 new growths. It does like to be fed! I also treated with KLN to kick start it. On my mature one, I often get 4 to 7 new growths a year. It is particularly happy now since I repotted it with a net pot upside down in the middle. It seems to like the additional air space. I'm growing it in outdoors right now on a shaded patio. Good luck.

I have found mine's done better since it's been in S/H, plenty of air and plenty of moisture.

It's also one whose roots seem to get upset when it's repotted. Last time I did all I could to disturb the roots as little as possible. It was in lecca so I tried to keep the existing root mass together without removing the old medium and just slip into a new pot with extra lecca... still it disturbed the roots enough to kill them and it had to start again on the roots. It's a pain because it knocks it back whenever I repot. At least as it get's bigger it seems able to grow new roots and get going again quicker.

Thanks for the tips, Rosie. Mine is on a small slab of cedar; only has three blubs. It does seem to like to be kept moist. I am going to "up" the fertilizer a little...Thanks, cBuchman...I appreciate the advice. BettyE

Visited St. Peters orchid farms yesterday, these guys are amazing, and so so so many orchids. So, I got my clamshell baby, and on the top another 3, of course, such a hard choice, one of them is Vanda Miss Joaquin, also another Flroida native Enc. Tampensis, butterfly orchid, and Cattleya Morning Glory:-)))) Will share some pics later when back in Miami. have a great weekend guys
