Love the flowers of C aclandiae and you did a great job mounting it. It must be happy where it's growing.

Wow, that is stunning! This species may have to be moved up on my cattleya wishlist.

Thanks, everyone, for the kind comments. To White Rabbit: the psb's are four inches in length, the leaves are two inches long.

Beautiful plant! Could you tell us what is it mounted on? What type of wood? Whatever it is, your Cattleya aclandiae definitely loves it!

Sorry, I don't know. It was mounted when I acquired it.

One of my all time faves. I love the color of this group of catts. And the fragrance is wonderful. You've done very well. A lot of folks have trouble with growing these to flowering. Very nice one here.

Thank you, James. This is far and away my favorite orchid. I have a few more that are not yet mature enough to bloom but hopefully are only a year or two away.

I never noticed only 3 roots per growth. However, these guys produce a lot of root growth when mounted and happy. I remember having my mount completely covered with roots fairly quickly after I put it on a cork slab.
