Cattleya aclandiae blooming, but with issues... Male

if roots are on top of media they will dry quickly. these orchids roots need lots of water but "must" dry off quickly. doesn't make sense but think about it. it grows in places where there is abundant rainfall mists but lots of wind high in the trees. I've seen these mounted and grown spectacularly. also seen them in bark and looking wonderful.

Would SH work well then? I know it causes evaporative cooling. How warm do they need to be grown?
