I have one of these. When I first got it the leaves had little faint spots as a normal part of the plant, but as I gradually gave it more light over time the spots have faded. I am wondering about this, does this catt like less light? It's nearing blooming size. Thanks for any feedback.

I am also wondering about the light requirements of this one. Mine has been growing great and looks healthy, but it has not bloomed yet. It's been getting the same light as my Dendrobiums, Neostylis Lou Sneary and a Brass. Little Stars, and they bloom for me regularly. Does it need more light than those?

Hope someone will fill us in. I was wondering if maybe the young plant has spotted leaves then change as they get older? I have in with the rest of my catts in a north window but with extra lighting added.

Silken, NYCorchidman, anyone? Any ideas?

Mine are just seedlings and I keep them under a T5. So I don't really know if it is enough or not as I don't expect blooms yet. They grow fairly well tho.

I have 3 seedlings. 2 have medium to dark green leaves with no spots and one is very spotted with red spots. They came from the same flask and compot as far as I know and grow side by side. They have always had the identical conditions while under my care since June 2013 when I got them as small or medium seedlings.

Hi Silken,
Where did you purchase yours? I have been searching for one.

I got mine from Clouds in Canada in 2013, but they haven't had them since. I actually got the last one at the time. When I re-potted, I found it was really 4 little ones, The smallest has died since.

Good luck. I think you have a better chance of finding one in the U.S. than we do here.
