Wow, that's a beauty! I bought one of these ( the BLC Leopard) as a Lowe's bag baby, but it will be a few years before it blooms, I think. Thanks for posting, now I really know it's worth waiting for!

After being open for two days, now I can sense nice fragrance.
It is the same as hyacinth fragrance and I love hyacinth!
The other catt opened the first bud this morning when I got up. The second one opened up later in the afternoon.

I love the spotted one. I won't be buying any orchids for a long time...out heating/cooling unit just broke. PSE&G just said the whole unit needs to be replaced...major unforeseen expense

yikes!
I hope it gets fixed soon so your current collection does not get affected too bad by it.

I know. They said not unil after the holiday. The kids, cats and myself are roasting. I hope the plants will be okay...they are more tropical than I will ever be. My husband doesn't mind the heat. I am a wilting mess...I want my AC back. The humongous bill I could do without :'(

Well, you can make a good excuse to get away for the holiday then.
I could not survive NYC summer without AC.
On a humid and warm night like this, I have both AC and a fan going. lol

Ching Hua in full bloom
three are facing one direction and two the other.
The fragrance reminds me of Susan Fender "Cinnamon Stick" I tossed last year.
Citrusy sweet...can't really describe in words but really really good!
