Maybe that's why I never see anything good.
You were always there the day before I got there.
Sunday near closing time is also a smart way to go to the flea market....they practically give it away(I also stay behind after they are all gone and rummage through the trash; sometimes there are great finds).

Sundays at the very west end of the meat market near 14th....there is also great finds there; its just a small flea market

Bud, I just stumbled upon your post and found it very interesting because this is one of my first plants and it was hybridized by a hobby grower that belonged to my orchid society. Her name is Joy Prince and Dark Prince was what she jokingly called her husband so she named the plant after him.

Thank You for that short anecdote, Jerry....but as I researched on this orchid plant on the RHS rosters: I found that this was first registered in 1965 by W.W.G. Moir of Hawaii.

Could it be that she had her plant awarded at the orchid show and she named it for her husband and I assumed that she was the hybridizer? Perhaps! I was still an infant in orchids then.

I have no idea, Jerry....

but if you want to look up who first registered the name of the orchid plant= you have to go to the Royal Horticultural Society list. It is available online. The first one who registers and pays the filing fees is the one given the first dibs....but it is such a lovely coincidence that she happened to be Mrs. Prince
