Default I do love the mailman!

SO my recent Cattleya order from Clown Alley's 20% off cattleya sale came in this morning!

C. dowiana aurea is in sheath and C. labiata 'Goliath AM/AOS x 'Fertigo' SM/JOGA is definitely showing a blooming size new lead for fall. That plant is SO RED. I think we can safely say it will be a dark pink lol.

C. gaskelliana 'Valley Isle' x self is definitely ready to bloom on the next growth and C. trianaei 'Cashen's' x 'Broomhill's' also looks to be ready to bloom next cycle.

C. dowiana rosita, dowiana (columbia), C. rex 'Exotic Orchids' x self, and C. warscewiczii 'Katia' x self are all small seedlings. At this point I think I have a pretty good mix of seedlings and adult plants to keep things interesting over the next five years on the Cattleya front.

You know, because I'm not planning an order from Carter and Holmes this weekend, or anything. -__-

edit: Actually, that columbian dowiana is a pretty hefty seedling. Probably ~2 years or less to bloom.

Well I'm not going to be any help. I just got back from J&L Orchids (Cal-Orchid and the orchidPhile were there as well) with 5 new plants. I have an order of 6 plants coming today, just got an order yesterday and have another coming Monday!!!
Thankfully the ones today are miniatures!

Ceci, just so you know that no one will disagree with you. Would be like "pot calling kettle black" thing. Don't feel bad, just know that there are those of us, like yours truly who are living vicariously through your buying sprees

Not gonna have one for a while, though, after this! Gotta put down a deposit on a new place.

LOL I do this all in an apartment right now! trying to get a duplex nailed down so I can have a temporary greenhouse for winter, or at least double my utility room space to allow for expansion.

And maybe after I finish up getting all the unifoliate cattleyas and former cattleya-like-laelias, I should focus on sophronitis and rupiculous laelias! Hahaahaaa!

I know the feeling. I am addicted to plants in general and just got two boxes today.
Good luck with your new purchases!

I recently was fortunate enough to listen to Glen Decker from Piping Rock orchids do a lecture at our club. (Very good by the way) . He said that you really don't run out of space...you just need to get your prioritys straight. Like do you really need that couch in your living room....I could almost relate.
