Default Catt alliance - no i.d. My very first orchid, blooming now

My very first orchid! I got this in the summer of '04 at a farmer's market. It was a good beginner's orchid for me, as it refused to die no matter what I did wrong with it - including complete neglect for a number of months in winter one year

This is one of two divisions I made of it last year. Growing in a 5" clay pot, chc mix, getting some mid-afternoon sun. Grows outdoors year-round - sheltered from weather in winter, garage on the coldest nights.

4 spikes - unfortunately a number of buds blasted, so not too many blooms for that number of spikes - We had some crazy up and down temperatures in spring, so that could be why I guess.

Since being divided, it's growing crazy! lol - each of these four blooming pbulbs seem to be getting two new growths each, and some older pbulbs are also getting new growth! Might need a bigger pot already this year ....

Thanks for looking

Nice colors!
I still have my first two, a noID vanda and Blc Lady's Favorite 'Morning Mist' BM/JPG. They are astounding in their perseverance.

Great you still have it. Plants can forgive a lot if on the other hand some basic needs are respected. Often beginners have more success if starting with hybrids.

Very Nice! It has the same form and shape (different color) as my eplc Charlie Brown 'Hawaii' that I posted 6 weeks ago or so. Even the plant and leaves look similar, but I haven't been doing orchids long enough to know. It looks like an eplc of some sort to me. Greg.

Thanks everyone

It is indeed a trouper, taking a wide range of temps, and surviving my many mistakes!

Greg, I think Eplc is a good possibility...
