[QUOTE=nlm2951;587583]Beautiful!, PLs. do you know the name?[/QUOTE
Wish I DID know the actual name! Bought it over 35 yrs. ago at yard sale. The seller was a member of the Minnesota Orchid Society, as was I. All I know is that it is a cattleya intermedia (species ) from Brazil. At least that is what the tag says...It has three spikes with another coming in the far back.....BettyE

does yours tend to bloom twice a year here in Texas? I have something very similar, been around the local society for a very long time, with the exact same lip, and also, I don't have any more name to it except "Intermedia." I have always wondered about the lip, and the fact it blooms January/July. Is it really intermedia, or a primary???
Wish I knew more to tell you, Rex, but it does bloom at least three times a year...sometimes four. All I know is what the first owner told me...He had on the tag :cattleya intermedia ( Brazil ) It is a most rewarding orchid to grow, and nothing seems to trouble it. BettyE
