The plant likes a lot of sunlight. I have seen some plants grown under full sun exposure here. They also do well while mounted on trees.

I am far away form my plants now. So, i could not add the photo immediately.
Normally the species has long spikes, but my plant has a short spike, which is only about 50 cm long.
