Hi all, I have a L. fournieri that just bloomed an is so friggin cute. I'll post pictures when I have the chance to take a few good ones.
I want to self it but I have no clue how to go about pollinating such a tiny little flower. I've pollinated normal cattleyas and phals before, but this one is so little I don't think I can see where all the parts are lol. Has anyone done it before? Any advice?
Adriana, I personally don't think their flowers are "small" (e.g. compared to Arabidopsis). I didn't have any problem with Laelia alvaroana (yours is slightly smaller), so I'm not sure what tips I can give. Maybe cut off the lip, petals, and sepals to make it easier to pollinate?
