cattleya forbesii
A bifoliate Brazilian Cattleya, often blooming twice a year. It's natural habitat is the coastline, but not just behind the dunes as it is typical for C. intermedia. I've seen it on shading trees in cattle farmland, where it is relatively well protected. In Brazil this species it not much sought after.
According to Miranda the pinkish coloration is typical for the south of its distribution and common in Santa Catarina, while plants from the north are more greenish.
They do better with a lot of light.
