Cymbidiums are not easy to bloom here because our night temps in Sept. and Oct. are in the mid seventies which is not conducive to setting buds. Sometimes they bloom, sometimes they don't.

I also live in Central FL, and I passed on going with cymbidiums for this reason. Although there are a few people growing cyms in this state that are breeding heat-tolerant hybrids. However, it seems like the main dealer of those is no longer selling commercially very often.
