Default Cattleya lawrenceana

I know that this is not a popular species, but I think that it's great. It's very fragrant and easy to grow in the home. It seems to like warm indoor temperatures.

Why not popular - it looks and sounds lovely! I was just reading Chadwick & Son online about this species. It has an interesting story.

Do you find it provides any cultural challenges? The article compares it to C. dowiana in culture.

As a matter of fact, I bought this plant from Chadwick about 4-5 years ago. I have dowiana too, but it does not bloom for me under the same conditions.

That is a really nicely shaped lawrenceana!! This species is well known for having a "droopy" and somewhat closed shape but yours is very open. Looks great!
