Default Enc. dickinsoniana first bloom

Got this in spike at the HOTOS show last month. Now it is opening. Blasted a couple buds, but that's fine, rather it not try to bloom itself silly on first bloom, anyway. Flower is about an inch across. Have not noticed a fragrance, yet.

Very nice! Try smelling it in the morning sun. That will get the best fragrance.

You going to the HOTOS meeting on Tuesday?

i obviously did not make it. I am way north and tuesdays are kinda errand days for me so I get worn out early

No worries! I also was not able to make it, so not a big deal. And as a fellow Northie, I know how awful traffic can be heading south at about 630.
