Thank you, I used SH until it outgrew it's SH pot last spring.
Since it gets down to 40 deg in the winter and I've had trouble with large plants in SH getting root rot in cold temps, I decided to go back to the traditional growing method using LECA as the medium. That way I could keep it dryer in the winter.
I didn't want to disturb the roots when I repotted so I just lifted it out and set it in a wider pot with more LECA.

Thank you, I haven't tried SH, yet. I have been intrigued. I grow in my house, so it might be a great option for me. I was worried it would be too wet for Catts. From the look of yours that isn't the case

SH was a big game changer for me when it came to growing orchids. I highly recommend it.

My Cattleyas loved it. If you try it, be sure you have active new root growth.

Have any of your orchids not liked it? I have read Onc Twinkle don't take well to it. I have been considering putting my phaius in it too.
