Thanks for the info. I was going to up the light from its current frosted window, maybe not now.

You are lucky, Iguazu falls is on my bucket list. So far away from here but someday!

Default Isabelia virginalis

I live in Miami, FL. Hot and humid. I bought my Isabelia virginalis from Andy's Orchids last fall 2012. I finally gave it to a close friend who believes in growing plants hard. They have to fend for themselves. It is in direct sun and only watered by the rain. Up until this month of July 2013 it has not had any water unless I give it some. The bulbs are dried out, grasses are scarce and no flowers. I must admit the little sweaters around the bulbs are becoming golden looking. Quiet nice. Since it has rained maybe the hard growth pattern will send up some shoots. I'm looking for another plant since I gave mine away in a trade.
Your's is a beautiful specimen. Thanks for sharing.

That is a lovely specimen. I've always wanted to see one up close and personal but never have.

Your plant is sensational! I just bought one two weeks ago, I hope one day mine will have that many growths and flowers! Great job!

I have a similar problem... two years without a single flower.
