I grow it inside. I doubt that it would withstand temperatures below 50-55F

WOW... very nice
I have one of these, a gift from a good friend visiting from Costa Rica last year, we were at Santa Barbara Orchid Estate and he insisted I have one. In bloom now also but pales in comparison to yours.
We did ask there about culture, and they were pretty adamant that it would not take a SoCal winter, too cool, damp, would fall prey to bacterial rot, spotting. Suggested that if it were grown outside, take in by late October, don't put out again until after May. But May seems to be its preferred blooming time, so I would hesitate to put a budding or flowering plant out until after blooming was over in June.
