I also have a B. nodosa on a stick that I bought on sale from Andy's orchids whose leaves look very different than my other B. nodosa I posted here. Smaller leaves, more terete, less wide open. I should photograph them side by side... but no time now...

Cristiano - I wonder if you sprayed yours daily the old growths would not dry up. Many orchids I saw in the wild had only a few green growths and a lot of dried up pseudobulbs. If you add some water it may grow even into a larger green clump and maybe get even more flowers....

I do water it every day, and fertilize weekly. It has a lot of older growths that are still alive. It actually is almost growing all the way around the palm trunk. What dries up I find are older roots.

I have another brassavola in spike; really quite a tall spike about 4.5 inches with 10 or more buds. When it blooms we will see what it is. Buds are quite a bit larger (longer rather) than the cordata/subulifolia in this post. But we shall see.
