Caularthron bicornutum
The pure white flowers gave this plant the common name "virgin flower" or "virgin Mary flower" in the countries of the Caribbean and the north of South America.
Hybrids are named Dia- (Dialaelia, Diacattleya) for their genus synonym Diacrium.
More interesting are the pseudobulbs. They are hollow like those of Myrmecophila and get a hole at their base as they ripen. Soon they are colonized by ants, who thus contribute to the nutrition and defend against enemies.
Luckily ant colonies are not needed to grow the plant well in my greenhouse.
