Default which epidendrum moon valley 'sunkist'?

I have found 2 different varieties (colors) of epidendrum Moon Valley 'Sunkist', one being a yellow only and the other variety a combination of orange and yellow. I also have found several pictures of both. Does any one know the true identity and which one is the imposter? I have asked permission of the photo owners to be able to use the pic's and should hear from them soon. I will then attach an image of both on an update. Thanks, Greg.

They may both be labeled correctly. Many crosses result in different looking plants. Think of the same parents who have 4 children - they all look different (thanks goodness). Sometimes very much different - I have 3 dark-haired siblings; yet, I am blonde.

Variability is the wonder of genetics!

Default different color epi's 'Sunkist'

You certainly may be correct. I guess I shouldn't even be bothered by the name. I also found out that there is a 'Sunkist' and a 'Sun Kist' which may mean they are different plants. Thanks for your input. By the way, mine is the orange and yellow version (previously bloomed). Very bright and colorful. Greg.

The photos in OrchidWiz (there are only 3 and by the same person) are the orange one. I agree about the variation being possible. But since it has a cultivar name of 'Sunkist' I would expect them both to look more similar since supposedly if they carry that name, it would be a clone of the named plant. Culture differences can make same cultivars have different colours, but that is quite a difference.

Default double identity

I'll keep snoopin' some here and there. I am fairly certain it is the orange/yellow combination like you looked up (not to mention that it is the orchid I have). I do have the parent background: Epi. Pom Pom x (Pacific Dream x Sun Valley) x Pacific Mandarin. It is a Maui epi. Thanks for the help and taking the time. Greg.
