Does this plant always make so many flowers per spike??

When the plant was smaller it had 2 to 4 flowers per spike. It's a large orchid growing in a 10" basket now and it typically has 4 to 6 flowers per spike. In the fall it always blooms on multiple spikes and has 25 or more flowers.

Wow~ It looks really nice at the moment and many more on multiple spikes will be jaw dropping!
