I need to get a c. lueddemanniana...my hybridizer friend said that is the first cattleya you should collect if you are looking to collect classic plants. He has some but they are huuuge...and thus expeensive..lol I will probably check for it when i get back to Jamaica.

Lovely flowers, euplusia, but I doubt this is the species. The soft pink coloring and curled sepals are there, but the petals are too narrow and you would never see a strong purple marking on lips in the species. Is it possible the tag got lost or mixed up? It may be schroedera X labiata or mossiae. Mine never blooms later than February and it comes form the same source. I'm sorry if this disappoints. Cattleya schroederae | Flickr - Photo Sharing!
