This was my other pickup at last weekend's Central Florida Orchid Society Show. The flowers are pretty big, not the biggest I've seen on cattleyas but bigger than my other hybrids. All five buds opened nearly at the same time, which I came home to this afternoon. There is another spike that can kind of be seen in certain shots that has another 5 buds on it.

Awww maaann...now i'm disappointed I didn't go down to the Central Florida Orchid show.
I was gonna go, but it would have been a long drive down and back from Boca so I didn't bother cuz it would be expensive with gas and everything.
How were the displays...and what sorta prices did they have?

The prices were pretty good...I paid $25 for this one. I paid $25 for a Paph I posted in the Paph section. Lots of cattleyas, paphs, dendrobiums, etc. Pretty good sized show. Although that would have been a decent drive for you. Did you go to the show in Coral Gables last month?

No. I was out of the country. I've decided that I'm going to the big show this year!

The flowers are actually more of a tangerine color (as in the name) in person than in the photo.

I can tell the photo isn't true to colour. There is too much exposure all together. But I imagine in person they look a delicious tangerine colour.

The second spike on this just started to open its buds. I will attempt to take a picture at some point when they all open
