I really can't wait until mine blooms!
Do these bloom just once a year or does the loddigesil give it a twice a year blooming schedule? I have mine mounted but wondered if a vanda basket would be better?

I believe they bloom once a year. I know acclandiae likes to bloom twice though, so maybe it will!

We grow ours in vanda-like basket, they do fantastic!

Thanks, Bob. I will likely put it in one of my plastic vanda baskets, then, with a few pieces of lava rock, like the C. dowiana. Aclandiae grows well for me on a cork mount, bare root.

Thanks for the replys.
The identity of this plant has been discussing for years. Although it is usually sold as a version of walkeriana, most people tend to think it is a hybrid.
It is an easy plant to grow and hence many cattleya collectors own it.
