Would any one care to guess at a name for this one??
It came with a label but I doubt what's on it.
Size about 5inches ( 125mm) Compact plant. Little to no other olors in the throat. Yes, the lip is faulty.
Color of flower is actually darker than pic shows.
Looks to me like a peloric where the lip is trying to emulate the petals instead of the more commonly seen reverse situation, or they're all somewhere in between. There's no way to know from a single flower if it will always be that way. Really makes it hard to even guess what it is. What does the label say?
The name supplied was Rlc. Hisako Akatsuka. No clonal name. The flower is 90mm across, not as prev' noted. I moved the lip out from behind the petals this morning, opened incorrectly, not uncommon. There isn't any other colors in the flower. Here is a pic from this morn' after adjustment.
