Default Cattleya warneri var. semiconcolor 'Pirilo'

Here's another C. warneri in flower now. This is not precisely concolor because of the darker little marks in the lip, and that's why orchidists started calling it semiconcolor.

They can call them anything they like ..
It doesn't distract from their beauty

Very nice! Why would any orchid be called concolor? Does concolor simply mean "with color"?

I do believe 'concolor' means one color, as opposed to 'bicolor', etc.
