How do you know when there will be a sheath?

they are all mature,
they have bloomed before I have got them. (they arrived with old sheath and flower rest)

and your catts bloom also once a year? and also only 3 weeks?

Ok, I just wanted to be sure they were mature plants.

As for how often my Catts bloom, it really depends on what species or hybrid you have. Most species (not all, but most) Catts bloom 1x per year, but many hybrids bloom several times per year so it really depends on what you are growing.

I think 2-3 weeks per bloom is about average for most Catts too. Again, it really depends on which species/hybrid.
