Default Potinara Red Crab 'Kuau Miau' AM/AOS

This orchid is an intermittent bloomer that springs out spike on every new lead.
I give this a constant temperature 55F at night to 80F in the day, partial sun, on the eastern facing kitchen window sill.
I have a humidifier that is set 60% or higher that depends on the season (winter is very dry and in the summer we have high humidity in Manhattan)
I water this until potting medium reach almost dryness because this plant has more susceptibility to root rot; and water regimen usually every 7-10 days that I thoroughly saturate with the faucet in full throttle flowing under the sink.
I cut off old flower spikes after flowering is complete.
I repot every 12-18 months and make sure they are held tightly within the pot so it doesn’t wobble and disturb the roots since this is a very important aspect of Potinara culture. Light is the next important aspect. If you observe that the plant is declining, the reason might be: generally the root system has been lost.
