True, plastic is safe in case it tips over and drops, but glass is more stable. plus look nicer even with the potential danger.
You always have nice settings for your plant.
I wish I had that diamond head drill you use to make holes on glassware.
I have aquired some nice looking pots, but no holes. I have to use plastic pots and slide them in the pretty looking pots. a bit of inconvenience but oh, well...
Your catt has a nice red color.

Bud you and Donald Trump are the only two I know who can afford such large apartments in Manhattan! Did the management give you any problems when you wanted to add all the hanging cabinets in your office? The people I've known living up there are barely permitted to hang a picture let alone something like the cabinets. You sure lucked into a good arrangement in a place with as many rules as people.
What show are you doing now? It must be fun to hobnob with the stars

@NYCorchidman, the diamond drill bit can be bought in any Home Depot; it comes in half and inch($12) or one inch diameter($15)....I attach it to a Black and Decker hand drill that has a rechargeable battery...immerse the vase in water or use a wet sponge to reduce friction on the drill to avoid overheating(I watched a YouTube video and learned to drill glass)

Thanks for the observation, Brooke....Donald Trump will not live n my apartment let alone in my neighborhood. I am in a bauhaus building of the 30's in the East Village where the lofts and old buildings are still cheap when I moved here in the early 90's. Nowadays I cant even afford to move because all apartments are twice the amount of my present rent(I have rent stabilized/rent controlled=which is nowadays very rare). I got this apartment just painted white walls....I have to improvise with used wood and materials from discarded set and props from various theaters I worked from. Paint is also free after the production is over the producers thrash them(finders keepers and thrash collectors gain from this) my ladlord is glad that the apartment is more livable than it was before. Plus, I updated the electrical wirings and plumbing systen all with my bare hands.
People have a wrong notion that apartments in New York are merely holes in a wall....if you visit a tenement house from the projects in the lower eastside and near chinatown you will see they have large elevators for 50 floor buildings and large rooms with picture windows....they were built in the 50's when the architects were still in a massive building mode with large budgets....the ones shown in movies are probably the old motels with the one room reconstructed into divisions of bedroon, livingroom and kitchen and passed on as a one bedroom apartment....those are the available apartments nowadays for the cheapest price.

It is real cheap then. I'm just a bit concerned about glass shattering or breaking and go all over the place. I would never be able to roam around the aparment bare feet ever again (and I love that!) lol
Yeah, many older apartments may not look that great from the outside, but once you go and see the inside, some will shock you in a nice way.
I love NYC!
