I have been to this nursery as well. A lot of mini-Catts are red because breeders use Sophronitis coccinea in a lot of crosses to make them small and a lot of people like red Cattleya flowers because there are no species Catts that are red. I actually love red mini-Catts because I love Soph coccinea! SVO has an eBay store too and you can see pictures of the flower before buying since they tend to sell blooming plants on eBay. They sell a lot of other colors besides red too. They also sell compact Catts and standard size as well as species. His site explains the height differences in each category. Mini-Catts stay under 6 inches tall. Good luck and check out SVO. He has a gallery of Cattleya flowers on his site too. You can also usually see pics of the parents of the crosses.

I did like their prices.. and their plants...
I had nothing against the red flowers... I have a small section of my yard devoted to red flowers... Which I honestly am trying to figure it how to fit a red mini catt into.... but there's zero red in my home and zero colors it would go with so I'm avoiding it for this purpose...
Good to know about the eBay site... is shipping reasonable?
